Three Tales
Steve Reich, Beryl Korot
The 2002 programme featured three works by composer Cornelis de Bondt. Hailing from the Hague School, just like Louis Andriessen, De Bondt has his wholly own way of working and moving between cool abstraction and heroic drama. Johan Siemons and Paul Koek were featured with De Bacchanten, with Meg Stuart, Emio Greco and Pieter Scholten taking on choreography duties. And Steve Reich, together with filmmaker Beryl Korot, made Three Tales, a three-part opera about the flipside of technology.
Welcome to the Holland Festival archive! The history of our festival dates back to 1947. Through the programs of each festival edition we aim to tell this history here. Currently our archive has been digitised from 1990 onwards, more history is to follow soon. Sadly some information is only available in Dutch but we aim to be as bilingual as possible.
