DD Dorvillier (born June 1967, San Juan, Puerto Rico) is an American choreographer and performer who has been active in the experimental dance scene since the early 1990s. Her work is known for taking a conceptual approach and challenging traditional dance conventions, often collaborating with artists from different disciplines. With moderator Maaike Muis.

With moderator Maaike Muis. D.D. Dorvillier and Trajal Harrell met in New York and worked together several times in different contexts. On June 17 and 18, Dorvillier will perform one of Harrell's favourite pieces of hers, No Change or "freedom is a psycho-kinetic skill" in Frascati.

After receiving her BA in Dance from Bennington College in Vermont, Dorvillier began creating performances in and for New York City in 1989. From 2004 she expanded her work internationally. In 2010, Dorvillier settled in France. Before her move, Dorvillier lived and worked at the Matzoh Factory (Brooklyn), a former factory that she transformed into a space for artistic experimentation in 1991, together with choreographer Jennifer Monson. This space and the insights she gained there form the basis of her original works. Her work is rooted in challenging predetermined definitions – including her own – of dance and choreography.
