Pichet Klunchun (1971, Thailand) is a dancer and choreographer. He started studying traditional Thai dance called khon at age sixteen.Continuing his learnings, he went on to study dance in the United States where he was exposed to modern and other forms of dance. These new experiences inspired him to re-imagine the traditional understanding of khon, in turn breathing a new life into this traditional dance and bringing it to the forefront of the international stage.
