A night of pulsating frequencies in collaboration with curator and cultural advisor Suzy Blok and Bar Bario. Bar Bario is more than just a bar; it is also a gallery and a safe space for the BIPOC, trans, and queer communities. Here, collaboration with creatives is fostered to create joint pop-up events and exhibitions. All creative minds and ideas are welcome. Suzy Blok is involved in the establishment of an 'independent, artists-led dance hub': a group of creators and choreographers from Amsterdam, some of whom will contribute to Welcome to a Night in Welcome to Asbestos Hall.
Blok was previously the artistic director of the festival I Like To Watch Too, the artistic and general director of Dansmakers Amsterdam, and head of ICK Artist Space. She has advised the Mediafonds and the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts and has served on the jury of the Amsterdam Fringe Festival and Cinedans.
