This discussion examines Négritude, a literary and ideological movement developed by black francophone intellectuals, writers, and politicians in the 1930s. They will draw parallels between the current political and social context and the emergence of a new black awareness in the Netherlands and elsewhere. With Grâce Ndjako and Antoin Deul, founders of the foundation Black Renaissance, among others.
