Not only was Iannis Xenakis a composer, he was also a gifted architect. From 1947 he worked in Paris as an assistant to Le Corbusier. In his music Xenakis was clearly influenced by his background in architecture. He considered his composi-tions to be sound movements in space. The exhibition Iannis Xenakis: Composer, Architect, Visionaryexamines the role his sketches and drawings played in his work as a composer. It presents a collection of almost one hundred documents from the periodbetween 1953 and 1984, includinghandwritten scores, architecturaldrawings, concepts, sketches and graphic notations. The exhibition previously toured New York, Montreal and Los Angeles.
