The king is dead. Long live the king! But the succession is not so simple a matter to decide between the two brothers (Cain and Abel – not a coincidence) who are in line for the throne. Their discussion degenerates into a brutal battle, in which violence conquers love and the ideals of their youth are shattered. In the work of French director Vincent Macaigne, Shakespeare is never far away. He wrote and directed a turbulent, macabre comedy about manipulation, power, love, family and rivalry, in which two brothers are accidentally plunged into misfortune by two clowns. Requiem 3 is a revival of an earlier work from 2007.
