My Brightest Diamond is the stage name of experimental pop chanteuse and multi-instrumentalist Shara Worden. At last year’s Holland Festival, Worden performed in The Long Count with members of indie-rock band The National. She can also be seen on stage regularly with rock royalty such as Sufjan Stevens, The Decemberists and Kings in Hell and she has a growing army of supporters, including David Byrne and Laurie Anderson. Worden’s own music is an eclectic, personal mix of elements from rock, opera, cabaret and chamber music. With her mystical voice she relates mythical stories in which she develops her experiences with playful and profound originality. Together with Brian Wolfe, Nadia Sirota and an ensemble, Worden will play a programme based on her latest, critically acclaimed release All Things Will Unwind.
