Walter Bart is one of the theater makers of the Rotterdam theater collective Wunderbaum. Wunderbaum creates performances about current topics, mostly on location but also in larger theaters. Wunderbaum was founded in 2000 under the wings of Johan Simons' ZTHollandia, then under the name Jonghollandia. From that position, the group began making site-specific theater. Often, Wunderbaum examines a subculture from today's society: the actors play a welfare family (Eindhoven de gekste, 2003), would-be religious (Kamp Jezus, 2008), romantics with a strong urge for self-sacrifice (Magna Plaza, 2007) or British soccer fans on a booze vacation in Odessa (Beertourist, 2008).
