Sasha Waltz (Karlsruhe, 1963) is a dancer, choreographer, director and artistic director. Waltz studied at the School For New Dance Development in Amsterdam before leaving in 1986 for further training in New York. There, she established herself as both a talented dancer and choreographer, creating her first choreographies.
In 1993, she founded her company, "Sasha Waltz and Guests" with Jochen Sandig. Together, they work on developing innovative and thought-provoking performances within choreographic musical theatre.
