What is your identity? Who are you really? What are your roots and where is home? Inspired by the themes of Bill T. Jones’ work, the Poetry Circle is organising an evening exploring all these questions. Three spoken word artists, each from very different backgrounds, will present their work and reflect on this topic. Jörgen Gario UNOM combines guitar and ukelele with lyrics in Dutch, English and Papiamento. Jörgen Gario UNOM about Seven: 'I wrote this song when my father passed away four years ago. The song is about the complex relationship with him and with the island of St. Maarten where Jörgen was born. I felt like a misfit there, just like here in the Netherlands'.
