Marina Abramović's presence in Amsterdam, performing in The Life and Death of Marina Abramović, is an occasion for EYE and AVRO to jointly screen the Dutch première of Matthew Akers’ Marina Abramović´. The Artist is Present. In Akers’ feature length documentary, the world famous performance artist is followed during preparations for her retrospective in 2010 at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. In the film, Abramović also looks back extensively on her life and work. The artist and the creator have been invited for the premiere.
