Lunchconcerts Nono Interventions

It promises to be an exciting combination: the spatial music of Luigi Nono and the acoustics of the Rijksmuseum underpass. During lunchtime on three Thursday afternoons, students from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague will fill the underpass, famous for its extraordinary acoustics, with their ‘reflections’ on the work of Luigi Nono. Bearing Nono’s musical ideals in mind, the musicians will spread over the passage; their music will also be spatially reproduced with the use of electronics. The sound and the structural elements of Nono’s works will be clearly recognisable, but the performing students, all part of the Sonology Electroacoustic Ensemble, will be giving their own interpretations.
