A piano player and an actor take you on a journey to discover the fascinating world of the American composer John Cage. His open and adventurous take on music is the starting point for the performance. One moment you will be listening to a concert, the next you’ll find yourself in a musical laboratory searching for answers to questions such as ‘when do sounds become music?’, ‘can music develop by chance?’ and ‘can silence be music as well?’. Listen to the silence is an interactive concert engaging the audience to participate in an adventurous, musical voyage of discovery. The listening experience is combined with active research and creation. An ode to John Cage.
