Laurie Anderson plays old and new songs, from her first album Big Science to the present. Together with jazz band Sexmob, she gives the set a current spin.
In addition to her intriguing voice, with which she both sings and tells stories, Anderson uses electronics and plays the violin. In addition to her musical career, she has pioneered technology in the arts, and in her shows she brings these various elements together. The New York-based band Sexmob, led by Steven Bernstein (horns), also includes: Briggan Krauss (saxophone, guitar), Tony Scherr (bass), Kenny Wollesen (percussion) and Doug Wieselman (guitar and woodwinds). Visuals complete the set.
