We’re living in a world where the distinction between fact and fiction seems to have all but disappeared. Politics and journalism have abandoned facts in favour of controlling the narrative – for which the theatre happens to be the ideal practice ground. Dutch theatre magazines Theatermaker and Theaterkrant.nl organise an evening on the clash between fact and fiction. What can the world learn from the theatre? Can theatre expose how reality is manipulated for personal gain or to promote personal beliefs? Critics, thinkers and artists will take part in the debate.
