Prior to the performance of Boulez’ Répons there is an opportunity to watch Eclat, a documentary about the composition of the same title. Director Frank Scheffer, also at this year’s festival with The Inner Landscape, has mirrored the structure of the composition in his film, allowing the viewer an insight into Boulez’ methods. The film is introduced by Scheffer himself.
