Nowadays, breakdance is a fully-fledged genre in modern dance. Together with Anne Nguyen, whose performance Kata is presented at the festival, Alida Dors and Bryan Druiventak (Solid Ground Movement and the Backbone dance troupe), Holland Festival is organising an afternoon at the festival centre on urban dance with speakers, presentations and workshops. The afternoon will explore the styles, diversity and development of the genre, including urban work presentations by young dance makers.
