Blixa Bargeld (1959) was born in West Berlin. He works as a composer, singer, musician, performer, author, actor, director and lecturer in nearly every area of the performing arts. In 1980, he formed the band EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN, for which he was the lead vocalist. He co-founded and was the guitarist for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds from 1984 until 2003. He has done countless concert tours throughout Europe, North and South America, Australia and Japan.
