Tero Saarinen

Tero Saarinen (Finland, 1964) is an international dancer and choreographer, and the artistic director of Tero Saarinen Company. He created more than 40 creations for this company Tero Saarinen Company, and other prominent dance groups, such as NDT 1, Batsheva Dance Company, National Dance Company of Korea and Lyon Opera Ballet.

As a choreographer, Saarinen is known for his movement language that plays with balance and off-balance. Music and visuals are important elements in his works. Saarinen’s musical collaborations include productions with ensembles such as LA Phil (Zimmerman Trio), Ensemble Intercontemporain (Vox Balaenae), and Finnish National Opera and Ballet (Kullervo).
