Sun-Mi Hong (South Korea) is an acclaimed South Korean drummer based in Amsterdam.


A rising star, Sun-Mi is known for her boundless creativity and her infectious energy. With her signature of rooted groove in combination with well-tempered outbursts, Sun-Mi's music blends both South Korean and European traditions, focusing on the unexplored territory between the two. In 2016, she forms the Sun-Mi Hong Quintet, composed of Nicolò Ricci (tenorsaxofoon), Alistair Payne (trompet), Chaerin Im (piano) en Alessandro Fongaro (bas).
