Samantha van Wissen

Samantha van Wissen (The Netherlands, 1970) is a dancer best known for her work with Brussels-based choreographers Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Thomas Hauert for their respective companies, Rosas and ZOO.
After following an education at the Hogeschool voor Muziek en Theater Rotterdam (now Codarts), she left for Brussels, where she joined Rosas/Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker in 1991. She participated in many creations and performances, such as Ertz, Mozart Concert Arias, and Woud, as well as toured repertory pieces (Rosas Danst Rosas, Achterland, Mikrokosmos) until 1997. That year, she started working with ZOO/Thomas Hauert, of which she has been a member ever since.
Aside from her work with her primary companies, Samantha has participated in the children's plays Drie Zusters and Droesem, directed by Inne Goris (Zeven), and has collaborated with François Gremaud on the performance Giselle. She also conducts workshops at P.A.R.T.S. and other training programmes.
