With a record case overflowing with vinyl from all continents, Dutch DJ Palo Santo Discos is a connoisseur of everything funky, exciting and obscure. In his monthly show for the London radio station NTS together with co-host Dactylian, he presents vintage Brazilian music with an emphasis on various forgotten, but no less fascinating, artists. He has gone to Brazil several times in order to scour the crates for rare vinyl, which gave him a reputation as an archaeologist and conservator of Brazilian music. But his love does not stop at samba and Latin jazz. Santo has a taste for music originating from equatorial regions as well, and just as easily gets the dance floor hyped with Turkish Anatolian psychedelica or Jamaican golden oldies.
