Het Nationale Theater is the largest travelling company of the Netherlands with three theatres in The Hague: de Koninklijke Schouwburg, Theater aan het Spui and Zaal 3. Under the artistic leadership of Eric de Vroedt, Het Nationale Theater is constantly looking for new stories and different ways of winning hearts in society. Its ensemble of actors and team of directors bring these different voices together in productions of Het Nationale Theater and youth and young people’s productions of HNT jong. Makers are given room to experiment, and new theatre formats are tried out. Besides making their own pieces, Het Nationale Theater programmes over eight hundred pieces each year: from cabaret to theatre and dance to theatre lectures.
