Marian Donner

Profile

Marian Donner (Amsterdam, 1974) is a Dutch author and columnist. She grew up in Amsterdam and studied psychology. In 2019, she published Zelfverwoestingsboek, in which she critically examines the self-help industry and advocates for embracing imperfections and celebrating life in all its facets. The book has been translated into multiple languages, including Italian and German.


Donner writes essays and columns for various media outlets, including De Groene Amsterdammer. Her work often focuses on themes such as culture, technology, media, and capitalism. In January 2022, her latest book, De Grote Weigering, was published.
