Nationale Opera & Ballet

Nationale Opera & Ballet (formerly Het Muziektheater Amsterdam) is a theatre in Amsterdam built specifically to stage operas, ballets and other forms of musical theatre.


It is also the name of the organisation that includes, in addition to the theatre, the companies De Nationale Opera and Het Nationale Ballet. The theatre is part of the Stopera building complex on Waterlooplein.

Accessibility

  • National Opera & Ballet is easily accessible for wheelchair users. There is an adapted lift and an adapted toilet. Space has been reserved at auditorium level for wheelchair users and their companions. You can book these special seats by telephone at the box office (020-6255455). The wheelchair places are all equipped with a screen for the subtitles.

  • Visitors who are impaired can use a loop at performances in the Great Hall. When purchasing tickets (online), keep in mind that some seats do not receive any signal.

  • Adapted toilet available
