HF Lab
HF Lab is Holland Festival's new education programme, made possible by the ELJA Foundation, that explores and stimulates young people's love for performing arts. HF Lab offers the possibility for young people to develop their creativity and think about their place in the world in new ways. Through its international reach, Holland Festival offers them access to new worlds and opens their gaze to others.
HF Lab is a talent development programme in which a core team of ten young programmers from secondary schools and youth organisations from different Amsterdam neighbourhoods will be part of the Holland Festival for six months. The programmers get a unique look behind the scenes, translate the performances and themes into an accessible educational programme for young people and work towards a final presentation during the Holland Festival in June. The programmers are ambassadors of the festival on behalf of their class or organisation and ensure that their voice and that of their peers is heard and seen. MBO students will work as the HF Lab Production team: apart from the final presentation, they will also produce videos, podcasts and various content.
