In this footage, members of the Dutch National Ballet were rehearsing for a new production of the romantic ballet "Giselle" which premiered at the 1966 Holland Festival in Amsterdam. At Schiphol Airport, Sonia Gaskell, artistic director of the Dutch National Ballet, greets Natalia Marakova and Anatoli Nisnevitch, two Russian guest soloists from the Kirov Ballet of St. Petersburg (then Leningrad). A day later they participated in rehearsals, with Marakova portraying Giselle's ghost and Nisnewitch playing her lover Albrecht during the second act. (Voice-over: Philip Bloemendal.)
