Foundations and associations among others, therefore, make Holland Festival possible.
In this way the festival can:
• achieve its artistic and public ambitions,
• present new, large-scale work by internationally recognised creators,
• invest in artistic developments,
• support Dutch mid-career artists in their international ambitions,
• create connections in Amsterdam,
• have a larger audience come into contact with the festival and better anticipate the
personal needs of the visitors, and
• connect with an inquisitive audience, both live and digitally through a combination of
online and offline context programmes .
These foundations will support the Holland Festival in 2025:
Production Partner Ammodo
Ammodo will be the production partner of Holland Festival until 2026 and will annually support international co-productions and the festival's own initiatives. This allows Holland Festival to remain in the front. Spearheads of the cooperation are: introducing new makers to the Dutch audience, giving composition commissions and supporting large co-productions with international partners. The supported productions are presented annually under the banner Ammodo x Holland Festival.
Festival Partner Fonds21
Fonds21 will be a Festival Partner of the Holland Festival in 2025. Fonds21 is an enterprising and committed fund that supports high-quality projects that manage to reach a broad, appropriate or new audience.
Presentation Partner Hartwig Art Foundation
Hartwig Art Foundation works substantively with local and international organizations, initiatives, makers and thinkers to realize artistic projects and increase access to art for a broader audience. As such, Hartwig Art Foundation and the Holland Festival have a long-standing collaboration, which in recent years resulted in Moby Dick (2022), The worm, Epitaph and Indra's Net (2023) and Carmen (2024). In 2025, Hartwig Art Foundation is supporting associate artist Trajal Harrell's in-depth program Welcome to Asbestos Hall.
Elja Foundation
The ELJA Foundation initiates, co-creates and funds projects for children and young people aged 4 to 18, in the Netherlands and the Dutch Caribbean. With their financial support, they contribute to connection in society through music, dance and visual arts. In 2025, the Foundation contributes to the education program HF Lab, which teaches young people to develop their creativity and think about themselves and their place in the world in a new way.
The Brook Foundation
The Brook Foundation has supported leading performances by international creators at the Holland Festival for many years. This involves work that is large-scale, experimental and cannot be seen anywhere else in the Netherlands. Among other things, The Brook Foundation contributes to the form of collaboration with associate artists and new work which these artists perform at Holland Festival.
Marinus Plantema Foundation
The Marinus Plantema Foundation promotes the bilateral relations between the Netherlands and Indonesia in the fields of culture, education, science and research. In 2025, the Foundation will contribute to the performance Otemba - Daring Women by Misato Mochizuki, Jan van den Berg, Janine Brogt, Ryoko Aoki, Bernadeta Astari, Michael Wilmering and New European Ensemble, which the festival is presenting as part of Amsterdam 750 years.
