Ensemble Resonanz

Profile

Ensemble Resonanz is recognized as one of the leading chamber orchestras in the world. This string ensemble, made up of twenty democratically organized members, performs without a permanent conductor, collaborating with guest conductors such as Riccardo Minasi. They blend classical and contemporary music into programs that create a strong connection with their audience.

In Hamburg, they are associated with the Elbphilharmonie, where they present the concert series resonanzen, and with the resonanzraum in St. Pauli, Europe’s first urban chamber music club. Here, they host the monthly concert series urban string, collaborating with international DJs and electronic artists. The resonanzraum also offers open rehearsals and lectures. Ensemble Resonanz performs globally and has received numerous awards for their innovative approach.
