Edin Vélez

Edin Velez is a Puerto Rican video artist, director, and professor best known for his work on the documentary films State of Rest, Motion, and Dance of Darkness.

He studied painting at the University of Puerto Rico and the School of Fine Arts of the Institute for Puerto Rican Culture. He moved to New York in the 70s, intending to dive deeper into the limits of film as an art form, becoming a pioneer artist for the medium in the process.
