Cédric Andrieux
Profile
French dancer Cédric Andrieux (1977) began his dance training at the age of 12 in Brest, Brittany. He was accepted at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris and graduated magna cum laude. In 1997, he joined the Jennifer Muller Company in New York to dance for a year. From 1999 to 2007, he was a member of the Merce Cunningham Dance Company. He also worked with RoseAnn Spradlin, Chantal Yzermans and he was a member of the New York cast of Alain Buffard's Mauvais Genre. In July 2007, he transferred to the ballet of the Opéra de Lyon, where he has since danced in pieces by Mats Ek, William Forsythe, Odile Duboc, Christian Rizzo and Trisha Brown, among others. Andrieux met Jérôme Bel in 2007 at the Lyon Opera's revival of his piece The show must go on.
