This June the weekly lunchtime lectures at the academic-cultural centre Spui25 will be dedicated to the Holland Festival. On three consecutive Tuesdays researchers from the University of Amsterdam will highlight different themes related to the festival programme from a scientific perspective. The first lecture is entitled ‘Probability and the free will’, in relation to Playing Cards: SPADES. ‘Fashion and Identity’ is the subject of the second lecture, in connection with Coup Fatal. On the final Tuesday there is a lecture entitled ‘Myths and Morals’ in connection with the use of Egyptian mythology in River of Fundament and Greek mythology in Thyestes and Oidípous. You are welcome to bring your lunch. We will look after your spiritual nourishment!
