Alessandro Fongaro

Alessandro Fongaro (1991, Italy) is an Italian bassist and composer based in Rotterdam. He pursued music at the Conservatory of Rotterdam (Codarts) for his bachelor, then went to attend a master’s in jazz double bass in Amsterdam, which he received in 2016.

Alessandro currently leads and writes music for ‘Pietre’, a quartet that he put together during the lockdown in 2021. He describes the music as a sort of ‘personal diary’ in which he collects images and moments, all somewhat related to love and friendship.
